Frequently asked questions

Are my images uploaded to a server?

No. The whole GIF is assembled locally in your browser — your photos never leave your device, unlike upload-based GIF makers.

How many images can I combine into one GIF?

You need at least two, and there's no hard cap — but GIFs grow quickly, so 5–30 frames is the sweet spot for something easy to share. Very large images are scaled down automatically.

Can each image show for a different amount of time?

Yes. Set one global duration to apply to every frame, then override any individual frame in the list — handy for holding an intro slide longer than the rest.

Why does my GIF look cropped?

All frames share the first image's aspect ratio. In Fill mode, images with a different shape are center-cropped to cover the frame. Switch to Fit mode to keep every image whole with transparent padding instead.
