Does this support encrypted HLS / DRM streams?
Mediabunny can read encrypted segments if your browser/license server allows decryption, but encrypted output is not supported. We recommend running this on streams you have rights to access.
Paste an .m3u8 URL or drop a local playlist. We download, demux, and remux to MP4 entirely client-side using WebCodecs. No server transcode, no upload, no watermark.

VOD playlists work best. Live (rolling) playlists are read-supported in v1.44, but for clean archive output use the dedicated HLS Live Recorder tool.
Most likely a CORS restriction. Browsers block cross-origin fetches without explicit CORS headers. Try downloading the playlist + .ts segments to the same folder and using the upload tab.
Conversion writes to OPFS (in-browser file system), so files larger than RAM still work. Long 1080p+ streams may take several minutes on lower-end devices.
WebVTT subtitle tracks inside HLS are not currently muxed into the MP4 output. If you need subtitles, use our Extract Subtitles tool first, then mux them with Subtitle Mux.
Chrome 105+, Edge 105+, Safari 16.4+, Firefox 130+. WebCodecs is required.
